The roll-out of the Wifi4EU network across County Monaghan has been completed.
The initiative promotes free access to Wi-Fi connectivity in public spaces.
The project has delivered internal and external Wi-Fi in 36 public buildings, recreational spaces and community centres throughout the county.
The €120,000 project was jointly-financed by the Department of Rural and Community Development and Wifi4EU, and was delivered by Monaghan's Broadband Officer, John McArdle.
Monaghan County Council will finance the running and maintenance costs for the next three years as part of the Wifi4EU programme.
Cathaoirleach Aidan Campbell says the project will "empower citizens of all ages to access broadband services".
