Robert Troy says the number of errors he made in relation to declarations on his property investments led to his decision to resign.
The Junior Minister stepped down last night after weeks of drip-feeding information that he had failed to declare his interest in a number of rental properties to the Standards in Public Office Commission.
In his resignation statement, the Fianna Fail TD also says he won't apologise for being a landlord, and that vilifying landlords is not the answer.
