A road still remains closed following a road traffic collision which occurred in the border village of Derrylin, Co Fermanagh.
A spokesperson from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) informed Northern Sound that they received a 999 call shortly before 7am this morning, following reports of a collision on the Main Street Area, Derrylin, close to the Cavan border.
As a result, an emergency crew was despatched to the scene close to the Cavan border, along with one rapid response paramedic and an emergency helicopter which attended by road to the incident.
Following assessment and initial treatment, one patient was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast by ambulance.
Meanwhile, motorists have been asked to avoid the area if possible as the Main Street in Derrylin remains closed.
However, diversions are in place via the Doon Road.
