Cavan County Council are advising motorists that Town Hall Street and Main Street in Cavan Town will be closed from its junction with Thomas Ashe and Town Hall Street on Thursday.
The road closures come into effect from 6pm to 9pm to accommodate the Cavan Orphanage Fire Victims 80th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony.
A special candlelit vigil will take place on the day at 6pm. A procession will take place on Cavan’s Main Street and a vigil will be held to mark all the lives that were lost in the Convent courtyard.
