Rising insurance premiums and a lack of volunteers are putting smaller agricultural shows at risk.
That's according to Castleblayney's Jim Harrison, who is the national secretary of the Irish Shows Association.
He says agricultural shows are a huge part of rural Ireland, but that costs, including insurance and equipment hiring costs, have risen by 25% since 2019.
While Jim says shows across the Northern Sound region will go ahead, he warned smaller shows in the south and west aren't running.
