Alcohol misuse among young people in Cavan and Monaghan a 'major concern'

An increasing number of young people across Cavan and Monaghan are seeking support for alcohol misuse and addiction.

Andy Ogle, an advisor for the North Eastern Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Force in Cavan and Monaghan says underage drinking as opposed to drug taking is proving to be more problematic among young people across rural areas.

He describes recent figures as very concerning and believes parents and local communities must look at the examples that they are setting for young people.
