Over 200,000 birds across six flocks have been culled in counties Cavan and Monaghan following the bird flu outbreak in November.
The Department of Agriculture lifted the restriction zones around the farms impacted on Saturday.
However, the Housing Order imposed under the Animal Health and Welfare Act will remain in place.
IFA’s poultry chair Andy Boylan says there has been no further outbreak of the flu and it is for those reasons that restriction zones are being lifted.
He did warn however that biosecurity measures remain key to preventing further spread of the disease.
He advised farmers across the region to be vigilant until at least April until migratory birds "go home".
