Pubs and restaurants should be consulted before new guidelines on dealing with Covid-19 are introduced, according to a local TD.
It’s after new guidelines announced by Fáilte Ireland yesterday have been described as 'Stasi-esque'.
The document says a restaurant should keep a record of what customers ordered for 28 days after they visit.
Fianna Fáil TD Marc MacSharry criticised the guidelines but Minister Simon Harris claimed the rule had been interpreted wrong and it was just a copy of a receipt that was to be kept.
