Some residents in Cavan Town and the surrounding areas may face water outages following the cleaning of the reservoir in Killynebber.
The reservoir was recently cleaned to reduce the level of sediment in the system and Irish Water says the reservoir needs time to fill up again.
In a statement to Shannonside Northern Sound, Irish Water says each house in the area is being individually checked and so far just one house does not yet have its water supply fully returned.
Irish Water says this house, which is on high ground, may require a full reservoir to receive water.
Irish Water and Cavan County Council thanked customers for their patience while the reservoir cleaning works took place, and added that it is fixing two leaks today which will improve water pressure.
