Gardaí in Cavan are appealing for information following a spate of thefts and burglaries across the county over the last four weeks. Gardaí also highlighted their concerns over "serious reports" of anti-social behaviour in the Ballyjamesduff area.
Gardaí in Belturbet are investigating the theft of a money box in Milltown Church between the hours of 3pm on July 3rd and 1pm on July 4th. Gardaí in Belturbet are anxious to hear from anyone who may have noticed anyone acting suspicious around the Milltown Church area on the 3rd and 4th of July.
In Virginia, Gardaí are investigating a burglary that occurred on the 6th of July between the hours of 7.30pm and 9.15pm. The homeowner left their home during these hours and returned to find that a rear window was forced open and a substantial sum of money was taken.
If you can recall Thursday the 6th of July and any suspicious individuals on the Bailieboro road in Virginia, Gardaí would like to hear from you.
Elsewhere, Gardaí in Bailieboro are continuing their investigations into a break-in at St Anne's Church in the early hours of July 16th.
Damage was caused to the front door by the culprits and a stained glass window was broken to eventually gain entry.
Despite all of this, the culprits left empty handed leaving a trail of destruction behind them. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
Finally in Cootehill, Gardaí confirmed that on the 22nd of July opportunistic criminals broke into a private dwelling between 7.15pm and 8.15pm while the homeowner was out, again a rear window was forced open and a quantity of cash and jewellery was stolen.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may be approached with the items of jewellery to come forward and notify Gardaí.
