A daft.ie report released today showed a rise in price for rented accommodation for all counties in the Shannonside Northern sound region with Monaghan recording the highest average rent in the region at €886 per month.
Economist and author of the report Ronan Lyons, says there'll be no investment to build new rental properties in rural areas until the high costs associated with construction are addressed.
