Ulster North Leinster Regional Chairman of the IFA, Frank Brady, has defended farming practices against criticism by a local vegan.
Frank Brady's pig farm is based in Monaghan and spreads into County Cavan. Mr Brady was invited on to the Joe Finnegan Show earlier to discuss the rise of veganism in Ireland and across the globe. Today, he denied that farmers "work without a soul".
Last week, a vegan from Glangevlin said meat producing farmers are de-sensitised to the slaughter - or 'murder' - of animals on a daily basis. Frank Brady strenuously denied the claim and said he would've relished the opportunity to have a discussion with last week's guest for the show today (listen below):
