Refurbishment and environmental works at Annalee View Respite Centre in Cootehill are expected to be finished ahead of schedule in the first quarter of 2021.
Cavan/Monaghan TD, Brendan Smith, asked the HSE for a timeline on the refurbishments and when services would resume at the facility.
The HSE said works are due to be completed in Quarter 1 of 2021 and the resumption of services will then commence early in the second quarter of 2021.
The facility was forced to close over a year ago after a leak in a fuel transfer line meant remedial works were needed.
Deputy Smith said the HSE must ensure that services are resumed as soon as possible due to the importance of the facility to many families in the area.
