A reduction of call outs for the Fire Service was reported this Halloween.
In Monaghan the Fire Service noted that the public adhered to Covid-19 public safety advice and Level 5 restrictions.
There was a smaller number of incidents requiring the Fire Service in Monaghan from previous years with a 50% reduction of callouts for Halloween in comparison to preceding years.
The small number of callouts received predominantly involved assisting the Gardai.
While in Cavan it was reported that there were no significant incidents to report in keeping with a history of low activity on Halloween night seen throughout the county in previous years.
