An "important step towards the development of a gold mine at Clontibret" has been taken with the commencement of a recent drilling programme.
That's according to Professor Richard Conroy, who is Chairman of Conroy Gold.
Drilling is underway at Clontibret for an initial 3 kilometre programme and commenced at the end of April.
It's first phase of a €4.5 million joint venture with Turkish company Demir Export, and the objective is to explore and develop the new district scale gold trend discovered along the Longford-Down Massif.
