Concern has been raised over further delays to the renovation works at Emyvale Garda Station.
At the most recent County Council meeting, elected representatives were told that issues in the planning process were halting progress.
The building was badly damaged in a suspected arson attack last October and the existing station was demolished with its former married quarters set to be refurbished for use as the new Garda Station.
There is currently no time frame to have the station operating, with an objection lodged on the planning application.
Sinn Féin Councillor Brian McKenna said he was disappointed to hear the development is being held up.
