Issues with the delivery of Covid vaccines to GPs in west Cavan have been raised.
Patients in Swanlinbar are said to have "lost patience with the failure to deliver" the Covid vaccine.
Local TD Pauline Tully and Councillor John Paul Feeley have called for clarity on the situation as it's claimed a number of GPs in the region have still not received their allocation for the over-85s.
Deputy Tully says the surgery in Swanlinbar, which only has a locum doctor, has been unable to proceed as there is no nurse there to assist with the programme.
She cites the Kerry village of Sneem which has been able to vaccinate all over 70s because of the large allocation of doses it received.
However, there's still no timeline for when vaccines will be made available in the west Cavan surgery and Deputy Tully says the backlog grows by the day:
