Public warned of 'delays' and 'limited' bed capacity at Cavan Hospital

Cavan General Hospital is currently experiencing "high levels" of attendances and admissions.

People across the Northern Sound region are advised that "delays" and "limited bed capacity" can be expected.

As a result, Cavan General Hospital has asked all patients to seek "alternatives" as opposed to Emergency Department referrals.

Adding that alternative referrals for non-emergency needs should explored as a "priority."

The Hospital has thanked the public for its "co-operation" at this time.
