The public has been invited to have their say on the future of Dun a Rí
Forest Park in Kingscourt, Co Cavan.
The County Council has commenced a masterplan process for the Forest Park on
behalf of Cavan Local Action Group and with funding from the LEADER programme.
A consultancy team led by landscape architects The Paul Hogarth Company
will now work with the council, Coillte, local stakeholders, and the public
to shape a ten-year plan for the park.
Cathaoirleach Clifford Kelly said he looks forward to seeing its
recommendations later in the year."
He added that it's vital everyone takes this opportunity to have their say
about the special place that is Dun a Rí".
The initial public consultation process will take place until Wednesday,
November 3rd, and the public is invited to complete an online survey which
can be found on the County Council's website.
There will also be an opportunity to meet the consultancy team at Dun a Rí
Forest Park from 11am to 5pm on Wednesday, October 27th.
A second consultation process will then take place once the proposals are
drafted.
