A public consultation is underway on traffic calming measures and resurfacing works on the Station Rd in Cootehill.
The consultation is in relation to proposed footpaths, cycle lanes and traffic calming measures along the R190 between the Cootehill Livestock Mart and St. Michael’s Church.
The plans are currently on view at Cavan Courthouse, the courthouse in Cootehill and also online. Local Councillor Carmel Brady says when the works have been carried out there will be new segregated cycle lanes, pedestrian crossings along with narrowing the road and resurfacing the Station Rd. Cllr Carmel Brady says the plans are all about providing an accessible environment in this area of the town,
