The public are asked to be on the lookout for criminals disguised as telecom workers in South Monaghan.
On three separate dates from September through October Eir wires have been stolen from areas in and around Shantonagh.
This activity is of concern as is causes phone lines to go down which can leave those in isolated areas vulnerable.
