Gardaí have launched a public appeal on this month's crime call in relation to a serious Monaghan assault.
Last December a man was violently attacked in Monaghan town, leaving him with a broken nose, leg and dislocated ankle.
According to the appeal, the victim a man in his 30s, was rushed to hospital following the incident.
This assault occurred on December 4th last and to date no arrests have been made. In a statement issued to Northern Sound, Gardaí are investigating an incident of assault causing harm that occurred on Dublin St in the town on the 4th December last at approximately 3am, where a man in his 30s suffered serious injuries. Gardaí have released footage of this incident and say investigations are continuing.
