Border Communities Against Brexit has warned the local area will suffer as a result of planned legislation by the UK Government to scrap parts of the Northern Ireland Protocol.
The proposed legislation will give British Ministers the power to tear up the post-Brexit deal, risking a fresh confrontation with the EU.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Damien McGenity from Border Communities Against Brexit believes the legislation would have a lasting impact on cross-border trade, and would bring the threat of "enhanced border checks" closer.
Mr McGenity says the Protocol was put in place to ensure life would "carry on" as it was before Brexit, as the majority of people across Northern Ireland voted to remain within the EU.
He added that any changes to the Protocol would only enhance Republican and Nationalist parties in the north to call for a border poll.
