Hundreds of people marched from city hall to the offices of the DPP, with the organisers questioning the decision not to bring criminal charges against the MMA fighter.

A rally was held in solidarity with Nikita Hand in Dublin last night following the Conor McGregor civil assault case. Hundreds of people marched from city hall to the offices of the DPP, with the organisers questioning the decision by the Director of Public Prosecutions not to bring criminal charges against the MMA fighter.

Meanwhile,  Conor McGregor has again said he will appeal after losing a lawsuit taken by Nikita Hand. She won her civil action against him after accusing him of assault in a Dublin hotel in 2018.  Stephanie Rohan reports.

"In a statement on X, Conor McGregor says he knows people want to hear from him. The Mixed Martial Arts fighter says he made mistakes and shouldn't have stepped out on the ''woman he loves most in the world.' He says as much as he regrets it, everything that happened that night was consensual. That's despite a jury of his peers deciding otherwise.

"Conor McGregor says he has instructed his legal team to appeal the decision. It comes as he looses his first brand deal following the case. Gaming company, IO interactive says it's pulling all his content from its storefronts saying it takes the court ruling very seriously and can't ignore its implications.
