The Carrickmacross Community Engagement Unit in partnership with the local Tidy Towns are hosting a Property Marking event tomorrow.
The event will take place at the workhouse on the Shercock Road tomorrow from 10am to 4pm. Local Gardaí are appealing to members of the public who have a quad, bicycle, trailer, strimmer, farm equipment or any other valuable item to attend and get them marked with an Eircode. According to Gardaí, by marking your property, you can make stolen items traceable should it be stolen and recovered. It also makes items less attractive to criminals in the first place.
