The Castleblayney Community Engagement Unit are hosting a Property Marking event this evening.
It will take place at Annaghmullen GAA Social Centre at Lough Egish in Co Monaghan between 5pm and 8pm.
Locals who own valuables such as quads, lawnmowers and bicycles among other possessions have been asked by local Gardaí to attend the event if they would like their property marked.
According to the Castleblayney Community Engagement Unit, Property Marking is a "great way" of identifying your property if stolen and recovered, and also acts as a "deterrent" to criminals.
Marking property with an Eircode will also ensure that if your property is stolen and located, local Gardaí will be able to have your property returned to you.
