The Chief Executive of the CMETB says approval of an-all in grant for a significant expansion of Breifne College will help deliver "world-class educational facilities" for the region.
Initial project approval has been granted for a scheme that will include four general classrooms, seven SET rooms, and a number of specialised rooms, including three science labs, two engineering rooms, and an art room.
John Kearney says there is a "three-year timeline" for completing the works, but added that yesterday's approval was the "most significant and fundamental juncture" and arrangements are already in place to procure a design team.
