Cavan/Monaghan Fianna Fáil TD Brendan Smith has welcomed confirmation that the Children's Primary Care Centre in Cavan Town will be practically complete at an early date. The HSE in their response to Deputy Smith's representations state that once this building has achieved practical completion then they will undertake the commissioning and equipping exercise in terms of fitting out the building for operational purposes. Among the services to be delivered to children who will attend Primary Care will be physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, dietetics and psychology.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Deputy Smith welcomed these developments. He added that the provision of modern and dedicated facilities for primary care for children is important for patients and for staff who are delivering these vital health care services.
