Secondary school principals are calling for a special admin officer to be provided, to handle the roll out of the Free School Books Scheme.
A new survey from the National Association of Principals and Deputies shows 83% say the supports aren't in place to implement the scheme in September.
NAPD Director Paul Crone says the burden shouldn't have to fall to principals: "What will happen, in reality, is that principals will break their backs. They'll cut their holidays short. They'll be working while they're on holidays. They'll do everything they can to try to put this in place but, that's not fair and it's not sustainable going forward," Mr Crone said.
