The festive tradition of sending Christmas cards is declining and it's all down to the cost.
That's according to Jackie from Monaghan.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show, Jackie raised her concerns not only about the price of purchasing a Christmas card but also the cost of sending one.
The local woman revealed that she will send nine Christmas cards this year at the total cost of over 15 euro.
Five cards will be sent to other locations in Ireland with a cost of €1.25 per stamp, while another four will be sent to loved ones in England at €2.20 per stamp.
Jackie described the situation as "ridiculous" and said the cost of sending a card is more than the actual price of purchasing one.
She added that the cost of sending a Christmas card has gone through the roof and that a special deal over the festive period would entice more people to send cards:
