Local authorities will now be able to charge 125 euro to remove clamps.
The price hike has been given the green light by Transport Minister Eamon Ryan and will come into effect from March 1st.
The removal fee was 80 euro but has now increased in a bid to combat illegal parking and deter driving through city centres.

The move will mostly impact those in Dublin city centre as it's the authority that most often uses clamps.
