A preferred route for the N2 upgrade scheme will be published next week.
A six-week public consultation will then begin to gauge the views of people in the area.
Work has been ongoing on the planning of the upgrading of the two sections of the N2, between Ardee and Castleblayney and from Clontibret to the border.
A public consultation on a number of route options was held last year with over 900 submissions made from members of the public and other interest groups.
It's now been confirmed that the preferred routes will be published at 6pm next Monday (August 24th).
A new period of consultation on the routes will then begin with registered landowners within the Emerging Preferred Route Corridors receiving an information pack by next week.
