The Preferred Route for the Virginia Bypass will be published tomorrow.
A new public consultation on it will then begin.
Work ongoing on the project, which was first mooted two decades ago.
Five route options for the bypass were published last November.
All options run from the end of the existing N3 dual carriageway at Whitegate and run to Lisgrey to the north of Virginia.
Three of the options run on the Killinkere and Mullagh side of the town, while one option would see the upgrading of the current N3 through the town.
A single option runs the opposite side of Lough Ramor, close to Oldcastle.
A public consultation was held on them with feedback being used as part of the next stage.
Work on that is now complete and the preferred route option will be published at 2 o'clock tomorrow.
Another public consultation will then begin and run until mid-September.
