Power has been restored to over 6,000 customers affected by an outage in Monaghan town.
At the height of the outage, 6,165 homes, farms and businesses were without electricity in the north Monaghan area.
The fault was caused by damage to a medium voltage line near Drumbear, with the ESB says crew quickly mobilised to repair the issue this afternoon.
The electricity provider’s Powercheck website showed all connections restored at 5.35pm, and company has apologised to those in the area affected by the outage.
