Power has been restored to 109 homes and properties in Co Cavan this morning. Families and businesses in the Ballinagh area woke to no electricity this morning as power failed from seven minutes past seven. Power had not been expected to be restored until after 10am but, ESB Networks said their crews were mobilised immediately following reports of a fault.
A spokesperson from ESB confirmed to Northern Sound the fault was the result of a blown fuse on a single-phase spur that required repair work to be carried out. All customers had their power restored shortly after 8am. ESB issued an apology to those impacted for the inconvenience caused.
