Uisce Éireann has informed Northern Sound that power has been restored to all their plants in Cavan and Monaghan now.
All of the public water supply schemes (including Water Treatment Plants) which the utility operate and are responsible for are back in production in both counties.
However, the boil water notices for customers on the Lough Egish in Monaghan and Belturbet, County Cavan Public Water Supply Schemes remain in place.
Uisce Éireann says they "cannot be conclusive on a lift date for the BWNs" but they have commenced sampling. They further advise that they need there clear tests - each day apart - before they can lift the boil water notices. Usice Éireann remind the public that "they have no responsibility for private group water schemes so you will have to contact them in relation to GWS outages."
