ESB have restored power to 77 homes and businesses in the Drumbear area of Monaghan following an overnight outage. The impacted customers were without power from around 9pm last night when the electricity provider received reports of no electricity in the area.
According to the Powercheck.ie website, ESB expected to restore power by midnight last night, however, crews were still working on the issue up until a short time ago. An ESB spokesperson said "the outage occurred as a result of a fault on a medium voltage line near Drumbear." A short time ago, the Powercheck website showed the problem had been resolved.
Meanwhile, an overturned pole was causing obstruction on Main Street, Ballybay this morning. ESB confirmed to Northern Sound it was not one of theirs.
