The Clones Tech Repair Shop has been at the heart of the local community since 2019. At the helm of its success is Samad 'Sam' Shahed who credits the community of Clones and cross-border trade for helping his business grow from strength to strength, even throughout the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic.
As a result of such support, the tech company has recently relocated from Fermanagh Street to a larger premises located on the diamond area of the town (old Dinkin's shop). Sam also revealed that the move to a larger building will allow him to offer more employment opportunities for people, something which he says is "extremely important" to him.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Sam said; "I like to be positive. My biggest strengths are believing in myself and the local support - it's amazing the connection I have with local people. Positive word of mouth is so important to me and customer experience plays a huge part in what I do. It's a great feeling when a customer has a good experience and they share it with others, people have been very kind."
Sam continued; "Many of my friends who are living in others parts of Ireland always question why I still live in Clones, but I absolutely love Clones. I'm really happy here and I'm very grateful to the people. I come from a different background, culture and religion compared to other people in Clones and the fact that I have been welcomed so kindly into the community and have been able to set-up and continue my business here is something that I will always be grateful towards the people of Clones and surrounding areas for."
