We're told the Pope's clinical conditions remain 'complex' - as it's revealed he's shown early signs of pneumonia in both lungs.
The Vatican says the 88-year-old, who's been in hospital since Friday, remains in "good spirits" and spent yesterday "reading, resting and praying". Father Filippo Di Giacomo, a canon lawyer and columnist, says there are concerns continued concerns for the 88 year olds health:
"What we know for certain," the priest said, "is the Pope had a serious lack of oxygen for at least 10 days. Now, in people of his age, this problem causes either a cardiac problem or neurological problem. The neurological problem seems to have been avoided but, the cardiac problem, even if he recovers, will always be there."
