A pop up swimming pool is set to be up and running in Carrickmacross next month.
Swim Ireland with Monaghan County Council and Monaghan Local Sports Partnership plan on having the facility in the town for 6 months.
School swimming, evening and weekend swimming lessons, community groups and private hires will be available.
The pool was previously in Cootehill and proved very popular during that time while it was in place.
Cllr Colm Carthy says that is has taken a long time to get the pop up pool secured for Carrickmacross but he says it will be very welcome come
September to the town.
