A pop-up shopping experience will take place in Cornafean GAA Hall tomorrow from 11am until 2pm. The event was organised as a fundraising initiative to raise much needed funds for The Holy Family School in Cootehill. According to organisers a "huge range" of clothes will be available on the day. This will include maternity wear, casual clothing, occasion wear along with accessories and much much more. Sizes on the day will range from sizes 6-22.
Sylvia Stafford's 17-year-old daughter has attended the The Holy Family School since she was four. Sylvia is also part of the committee which helped in organising tomorrow's event. Speaking to Northern Sound, Sylvia encouraged locals to attend tomorrow's event, in a bid to raise money for such a worthy cause.
"Time and time again over the years people have always been so supportive of The Holy Family School," explained Sylvia. "We're so lucky in Cavan and Monaghan to have that school there with all the wonderful staff who work there. I get emotional when I talk about it because without Holy Family we would have been lost as a family and anything we can do to support it is just fantastic and we're so grateful to everyone who has helped us on this journey."
