The pop-up test centre in Monaghan is open from this morning.
The HSE announced the centre earlier this week after a dramatic rise in the
number of cases of Covid in the county in recent weeks.
It's hoped the centre will allow for the easier tracking of the virus
through the community.
It is open to anyone, not just people with Covid symptoms.
People will need to bring a valid photo ID and a mobile phone number to
receive their results.
The centre is open from 10am to 6pm today and tomorrow at St Joseph's
Pastoral Centre in Monaghan town.
While people can turn up at the centre for a test, the HSE is advising
people to book an appointment if possible.
