A pony has been reunited with its owner after being taken into "custody" in Carrickmacross Garda Station this morning.
The pony was said to be causing traffic problems on Main Street in Carrickmacross, but local gardaí said he came quietly to the station.
Gardaí issued an online appeal for its owner to come forward, joking that they would hand the pony over "neigh problem" and requesting that the owner bring a shovel to the station.
Carrickmacross gardaí have thanked the public for their help in reuniting the pony with its owner and paid special thanks to those who offered to provide food, transport, and temporary accommodation for the station's visitor.
