The introduction of Polish as a Leaving Cert language in CMETB schools is an example of technology enhancing exam subjects.
That's according to Paddy Flood, the Director of Schools with CMETB, who was speaking in the Oireachtas representing all Education and Training Boards.
He says there's a strong case for changing how 14 years of schools are assessed, and moving away from one-day exams.
He also suggested that bonus points could be used to incentivise students taking Irish at Higher Level.
Mr Flood told the Oireachtas committee that local schools have been innovative with technology.
