Police in Co Fermanagh were forced to take a drunk driver off the road in the Maguiresbrige area.
According to police the incident which to took place early this week during rush hour yesterday was an "accident waiting to happen."
The driver provided an evidential sample of 97 which is nearly 3 times the legal limit.
In the lead-up to the festive season, Fermanagh PSNI have urged members of the public who have concerns about someone’s driving to contact them on 101 or in an emergency situation 999.
Elsewhere, it's hoped a new streamlined process to check drivers for drugs will make the roads safer and help catch more offenders.
Gardaí have upgraded the device they use to test on the side of the road, that's now capable of identifying more illegal substances.
It's being rolled out as part of the Christmas and New Year road safety appeal.
