Police have been granted more time to question a suspect in the shooting of an off-duty officer in County Tyrone. Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell remains in a critical condition after the attack in Omagh on Wednesday.
So far, six men have been arrested. The Detective was targeted at a sports centre in Omagh where he'd been coaching children.
Dissident republican group, the New IRA, is the "primary focus" of the investigation. Meanwhile, Tony Blair, the British prime minister who co-brokered the Good Friday agreement, is calling for strong leadership.
