Cavan-Monaghan is the only count centre outstaning

There is still no sign of a first count taking place at the Leisure Complex in Cavan.

Returning Officer Joe Smith informed crowds late last night, he was adjourning the first count until 10am this morning. Despite this, there is still no sign of a first count taking place.

Political commentator and journalist Michael Fisher says everyone is "waiting patiently" for the first count here in Cavan.

Fisher told Joe Finnegan this morning that there are "plenty of hurdles still to go until this race reaches an end."

Fisher also predicted that the five seats available in the Cavan-Monaghan constituency will more than likely go to two Sinn Fein candidates, two Fianna Fail candidates and one Fine Gael candidate.

However it's certainly still all to play for here in Cavan. Follow live updates from the Cavan-Monaghan count centre.
