Plans are in place to bring the relics of St Killian back to his home town of Mullagh in Co Cavan. That's according to Cllr Shane P O'Reilly who told a recent meeting of Cavan County Council that dates are currently being organised by committee members in Mullagh and Wurzburg in Germany,
Cllr O'Reilly told those gathered that the ties between Cavan and the German city were "strong" and the recent visit by the local contingent to Wurzburg was important in the strengthening of those ties. He highlighted how the arrival of the relics to Mullagh would provide everyone there with some time for renewal.
Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council Cllr Philip Brady, added that the people of Mullagh deserved "great credit" for the work they have done in creating a "wonderful friendship" with Wurzburg.
