The Cavan & Monaghan Education and training board have applied to Monaghan County Council for a premises in Carrickmacross.
The local ETB have submitted planning permission for the change of use of the former Ulster Bank Building in the town.
The plans for the building if permission is granted will be for the use of training and educational use.
The former bank closed its doors in 2017 and the existing building is listed as a protected structure in the Monaghan County Council Development.
County planners will make their decision in mid February on the application.
