Plans for the redevelopment of Dublin Street in Monaghan town are progressing.
The County Council hopes to see the rejuvenation of the area as part of the South Dublin Street and Backlands Regeneration Project.
The plans include the development of high street stores, a hotel, offices, health care facilities, restaurants, residential units and leisure
facilities.
Included is a new square called 'Charles Gavan Duffy Place'.
Monaghan County Council has now submitted the plans to An Bord Pleanála under an Environmental Impact Assessment Scoping Request.
